2009 Chili Cook-Off

		We want to thank all participants and supporters of this years 5^th Annual Ward chili cook-off. The event was a big success due to the support of caring people. This event helped us to raise funds for building a new animal shelter in Ward and care for the homeless animals we receive on a regular basis. Providing a safe haven for homeless, stray and abandoned animals is important to us. Soon, the City of Ward will be able to offer the pets the safe haven we have been planning, fundraising and saving for, all these years. The 5^th Annual Chili Cook-Off was a big help in gathering the funds to start the construction. They are still many opportunities for sponsors and donations. Whether monetary or in materials there are many ways to help. Ward Animal Control is committed to reaching out to the community with programs, education and support. Please check the tab "Animal Control" frequently for updates on items needed and sponsor programs. The words “thank you” is not enough to show our gratitude for all the support & donations we have received. Your generosity made an immediate difference in the lives of Cleo and Frankie and will make a difference for all future pets in the care of the Ward Animal Shelter. Thanks again for your kindness!
