The City of Ward is part of the Lonoke White Public Water Authority (LWPWA). LWPWA is in the process of constructing a water line from Greer’s Ferry Lake to this area. This will be beneficial because of the condition of the ground water. We will be changing to surface water. At this time there is a permit with the Corp of Engineers that is in the public comment period. We are asking all water user to please send in your comments on this permit. The Application number is 1994-12124-4. You will need to go to the Corp of Engineers website. www.swl.usace.army.mil. At the website choose the regulatory tab and at the next window choose the current public notice tab. The LWPWA permit application is at the top of the list. The comment letters need to be at the office of Sarah Chitwood on or before the 27thof January. Thank you for your support for this permit.

Due to EPA regulations the City of Ward will NO longer pick up yard waste or limbs. You will need to dispose of the yard waste or limbs on your own property.
