This year we will build a new and much needed shelter. Ward has been operating with a temporary shelter for years while planning and raising funds. We believe this is a huge step in allowing us to offer more in the way of adoptions, clinics and education.
We are excited not only about the facility but about the oppotunities it will bring. Our goal is to reach out into the community and truly make a difference. How do we plan making a difference?
Responsible Pet Ownership
Giving owners the tool to be successful is top on our list. Workshops that teach canine behavior, care and health issues will be offered.
Ward Project humane is a community wide education project that not only teaches pet owners but offers resources and help being a responsible pet owner. We are putting action with our words and options with what we are teaching.

Asking for help
Making it happen, we are well on our way. And even with the help we have already received we still have a long way to go. This is why we realize we will never really be able to make a difference for the animals, community or be able to have a education center without asking for help.
Corporate Sponsors
We have worked hard to make being a sponsor possible for everyone. We have made five levels of Sponsorship that make it affordable. We also have Kennel Sponsorships for those that would lilke to sponsor a kennel in our new shelter.
About sponsor a kennel....
Here's a great way to visibly support the animals at the shelter. A special plaque engraved with your name, your pet's name or the name of the sponsoring company or organization will be affixed to a specific cage, and you will be providing food, care and comfort for the animals for one year. With your help, the City of Ward can provide the small things that make such a big difference.
