REQUEST FOR LETTER OF INTEREST

Notice is hereby given that the City of Ward is seeking letters of interest from qualified consulting engineering firms for an Arkansas Safe Routes to School Program Infrastructure Project(Job 061290, Ward SRTS I 2010).  The project consists of approximately3,500 linear feet of sidewalk and related appurtenances along Hwy. 319 from Green Apple Drive to Ward Central Elementary School & along Wilson Loop Road to Moon Road in Ward, Arkansas.

The work will generally consist of providing survey and design, preparing construction plans, specifications, and if necessary, right-of-way plans.

This project includes federal funds along with review and approval of the work by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.  All work and contract requirements shall conform to requirements of the Federal Highway Administration and Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

Three sets of responses must be received no later than Noon (CST), January 3, 2011. Any responses received after this deadline will not be considered.

After a review of all letters of interest received, selected firms will be furnished a scope of work and requested to submit proposals for accomplishing the work.
